Our establishment
HOTEL GAUDÍ was built in classical style in 1981, and was refurbished in 1996. Thanks to its comfort and the impeccable service of our team of 17 employees, our guests can enjoy a particularly pleasant stay near Antonio Gaudí´s Espiscopal Palace and Astorga´s Gothic cathedral. The hotel, which currently has a 3-star rating, was built with the idea of allowing our guests to enjoy a warm, classical decor in wood. Our hotel is located in a historic area where you can visit Roman ruins, the Episcopal Palace, the cathedral and the friendly city of Astorga in general. You can hold a special New Year´s Eve or (Epiphany) celebration, or a wedding reception, in our charming, high quality facilities.

Rooms
Our hotel can accommodate 75 guests. We have 35 rooms, including 27 doubles, 3 doubles with lounge, 4 triples and 1 single. The rooms have a view of the city´s historic area, with Antonio Gaudí´s Episcopal Palace in the background.
Each room has individual heating, international television, telephone, and full bathroom with hair dryer. The suite also has a mini-bar. Cots also available.

Useful tourist information
You must not miss a visit to the cathedral and the Gaudí Palace. Other interesting tourist sights are the Asturica Augusta Roman ruins, the chocolate museum and the Town Hall.
Not far from the city, you will find the traditional architecture of the Maragatería region in Castrillo de los Polvazares and Rabanal del Camino, two villages on the Road to Santiago. In the same direction, you will arrive at Ponferrada and the Las Médulas Roman mines, a pleasant weekend alternative in the area around the historic city.
During the year, special days are held for the traditional (pig slaughter) as well as for the Roman and Maragata regional cuisines. These days are the perfect opportunity to discover this unusual cuisine.
